Like everyone else, I liked the story of Mahabharata, but I could not accept it as a gospel. The idea that God should choose war to cleanse the earth of sin and justify the use of unfair means to win that war was abhorrent. Then I thought, what would have happened if Arjuna had rejected Shri Krishna's advice in the Gita and stuck to his decision not to take up arms against his cousins. This play is that alternate mythology that explores one of the possibilities.
