“Inside The Tumultuous Mind of a Teenager” is a poetry collection that features the diary entries in verse of a young girl in her adolescent years of 14-17. These poems were written with unfiltered spontaneity and informality during integral moments of the girl’s life. Covering the mental chaos that is inevitable in these formative years, the collection features poems about early experiences, disillusionment and maturing, living during the pandemic, romance, feminism, frustration, nostalgia, grief, development of beliefs and most of all, hope. As any teenager would contest, the time of adolescence is a confusing one because an individual’s identity is under construction during this time stage. The final architecture of personalities that we present to the world as adults are still a confluence of questions and examinations in this midway era. But there can be beauty found in this uncertainty as this poetry collection hopes to prove.

About the Author: Navya Sahay is a 17-year old high-school student living in Banglore, India. She studies in Neev Academy. An avid reader and self-proclaimed bookworm, she started writing at age 14, and published her first novel—Two Roses and Water at age 15. A film buff and Netflix addict, Navya spends her free time observing stories of all kinds and learning how to write her own.
