Jyotishchandrarka
Jyotish Chandrark was written in year 1646, year 1726 by Pandit Rudradev Joshi. The book is divided into 8 chapters. Five chapters are already published from Naval Kishore Press, Lucknow in 1928, with commentary in Sanskrit, in “Kashika Tika” by Gopal Dutt Sharma. Remaining 3 chapters are not published till date.
This book is the 6th chapter having 289 sanskrit shlokas from Jyotish Chandrark, with explanation in Hindi by Prof. J.N Joshi (ex HoD – Sanskrit, Kumaon University, Nainital, Uttarakhand), along with various relevant Sanskrit quotations from books of Dharam Shastras & Puranans. Three main subjects are critically and comparatively expounded here in this book. They are polity (principles of all forms of Government), Pauranik Geography and Indian Astrology with its different aspects.
