This book is about the struggle of a man with rigid values and how this unbending trait lands him in troubled waters time and again.

The man loses his first love and also his job because of his unyielding personality. Even after five years of his dismissal from the Civil Services on false corruption charges, his struggle to prove his innocence continues as the law takes its own lingering course. With only his mother’s memory, he has his aged man Friday to face the trying times when he comes back to live in his ancestral village. But the harsh realities of village life never allow him to hibernate. He cannot live peacefully when people around him struggle to make ends meet. So his chase for the villagers’ rights continues alongside his own struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The journey also sees a romance flourishing in the turbulent backdrop. The story-line resonates with present-day India and the characters are etched with feeling. The novel is quite engaging and tickles the psyche of all readers, across ages.
