Year 1997, Vienna, Erik Dimitrov, a geologist living the life of his dreams in Austria working in paleoclimatology at the Austrian Climate Research center for more than nine years. After his Ph.D., he spent most of his twenties in his favorite lab and on many expedition sites across the globe.

One evening, he returns to his apartment in Vienna from one of his relentless research projects and finds a letter lying at his doorsteps waiting for him.

A letter from his distant old aunt, who lived alone in Bulgaria, his homeland. It reads, ‘Your parents were never dead. They were never there when the fire took place that night.’ Aghast and infuriated, he decides to visit his homeland to see his aunt and find his parents for answers for his devastated childhood. He reaches his hometown Mezo, a small town on the edge of the Balkan region, only to find the buried truth about the series of events that happened the same night when ‘Lenard house’ caught fire. An old commercial building at the heart of the town where his parents worked. And this visit to his homeland turns into an endless nightmare that leads him to the other side of the story which is way more direful and horrifying than he could ever imagine.

About the Author: Vishal Rahate, Born in 1989, an automobile engineer from the city of dreams, Mumbai. Now based in Pune, He is a big horror and mystery genre admirer since he was a kid. He discovered his passion for writing while he read Stephen King Novels through his teens and twenties. He always wanted to associate himself with some creative and timeless piece of work that he could leave behind as his legacy. The grief of his parent’s death in early stage of life became his driving force to write and deliver something extraordinary to look up to in the world of literature. Vishal is also a dynamic individual who likes to travel across the world and rediscover his love for nature and the mother earth.
