If you thought animal extinction was an issue in national parks or the wild, think again.

There’s an animal extinction apocalypse happening in your neighborhood. Urban areas are home to 46% of endangered animals and cities like London, New York and Mumbai are each home to dozens of endangered species. This thought-provoking book by a teenager shows that we need not be mute bystanders to this wave of extinction but can play an active role in this war to bring these animals, and our world, back from the brink of ecological collapse.

Did you know:
Shutting off all lights at your home at night can save ten birds a year?
Taking one stray cat off the streets can save almost 3000 endangered animals over five years?
Adopting a 25% vegetarian diet can save 70 marine animals a year?

Filled with other such everyday steps you can take in your home and communities and supplemented with inspiring case studies of how other communities have come together to transform their ecosystems, this book will provoke and inspire you to join in this struggle to bring countless animals, and our world, back from the brink.
