About the Authors:
Ratnalal Sapkota (b. 1985) is a social volunteer from Singleybung, West Pendam, Pakyong District, Sikkim. Deeply committed to preserving the identity and cultural integrity of Sikkim’s indigenous communities, he believes that the history of Sikkim must be known to the younger generations to strengthen their sense of belonging, harmony, and pride in their heritage.
Lhendup Bhutia (b. 1976) is a former Panchayat from Sotaklakha, Bhusuk, Gangtok District, Sikkim. Actively engaged in social development and public welfare, he advocates for the documentation and dissemination of Sikkim’s historical accounts, recognizing that an informed society is essential for peace, unity, and progress in the Himalayan State.
Passang Tshering Lepcha (b. 1997) is a socially conscious youth and heritage enthusiast from Pabyuik-Naitam, Gangtok District, Sikkim. Motivated by a deep respect for his homeland’s legacy, he aspires to carry forward the collective memory of Sikkim’s past and inspire his generation to preserve its traditional and cultural heritage.
Tshering Pintso Lepcha (b. 1995) is a socially aware youth from Pabyuik-Naitam, Gangtok District, Sikkim. His involvement in this work stems from a belief that understanding the journey of the former Himalayan Kingdom is vital to ensuring lasting harmony and the region’s stability.
