An old British Law now enshrined in Pakistani law has become a tool of torture, prosecution and murder in the hands of minority fringe groups who believe that any disrespect to the Holy Prophet must be avenged by the death of the Blasphemer.

DS Amber’s weekend in Dubai is interrupted when she is asked to collect a body. The death has been classified by the local hospital as an “Accidental Fall”. Driven by curiosity Amber decides to take a look at the crime scene.

As Amber starts digging another murder is reported. This time a Clergyman is stabbed to death in his own house. Both the victims belong to the same organization. Is it a coincidence? Or is there a more sinister conspiracy afoot?

Her investigation leads her to Canada. While she is in Canada all hell breaks loose, putting Amber’s family in the crosshairs and triggering a national crisis.
