The book encapsulates sixty years of the poet’s life. The compilation is a nest of poet’s hopes, despair and cravings for true love.

His poetry depicts the pain due to attachments and detachments in relationships. The poet is also concerned about the changes happening in the society and environment. He observes rising intolerance and divisions on the basis of language, color and cast. Still he seems positive when he writes, “Aao Ab Ghar Laut Chalein” ( let’s return home). In one section, his poetry salutes the soldiers on the borders and in the other it deals with delicate relations that of a mother, daughter and sister. The poet employs satire to expose hypocrisy existing in today’s world and subtle words to weave emotion of love. All in all it is a bouquet of emotions, a treat for Hindi poetry lovers.

Dr Jai Gopal is a poet, story writer, and an ardent Astrology scholar. Started writing at the age of fourteen, he published his first book titled ‘Devi Puja’ in 1962.  His songs, poems, articles, short stories have been published in several magazines and newspapers.
