ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ? ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈl ਜਵਾਬ ਹੈ... ਸਿੱਖ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਹੈl ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦਾ ਧਰਮ ਹੈ, ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਇਨਸਾਨੀਅਤ ਦਾ ਧਰਮ ਹੈl

'What is Sikhism?' I asked a Sikh gentleman many years ago, ' How would you define it?' 'Sikhism', he replied, ' can be defined as fatherhood of God and brotherhood of man.' ( W.H.Mcleod , Who is a Sikh, 1989 p1)

Sikhism teaches you how to live while u are alive , its a way if life. Tenets of Sikhism are, equality of all human beings , social justice, service to humanity, and tolerance, honesty, compassion, humility and generosity in day to day life. Purest of pure (khalas) is a real Sikh.

About the author: My date of birth is 1.2.1927. My qualifications are MA(English), MA(Punjabi), and LL.M. I retired as Head of the Law Department Punjabi University, Patiala Punjab.

My seven books, were published, in Punjabi by Punjabi University, Patiala. They are as under:-

7. ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ (Translation of Law)

Apart from this I have written four books on Hindu Law in Punjabi for Punjabi University, Patiala. I have written a dozen books in my personal capacity

I have written three books in Punjabi on Sikhism, which I am going to publish

ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ ਕਾ ਅਾਉਖੁਦ ਨਾਮ
(We are not Hindus)
(We are neither hindus nor musalman)
(Reciting nam if God is remedy to all ills)

In this series, ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ? 'Who is a Sikh?' is being published. The other two will be published shortly.
