This project focuses on the use of artificial intelligent systems and manufacturing simulation programs to optimize production and management within palm oil or related industries. Phase one of the research work is to define a process of imitating the operations of a real world process or system over time, view and evaluate the systems drawbacks and bottlenecks and finding the best input variable or solution, from among all possibilities. The objective of simulation experiments is to understand the behaviour of the system and to test possible changes. The purpose of this research is to explore, identify the drawbacks, think of possible solutions and develop an artificial intelligence framework to optimize production and management in the Cameroon Development Corporation (C.D.C) palm oil processing factory.
This framework or model when constructed will be simulated to test its output effectiveness against the current system being used.
This research has been carried out over an industrial case; Cameroon Development Corporation (C.D.C), which is a palm oil manufacturing (production) factory located in Limbe Cameroon, which intends to invest on upgrading its processing line or by constructing another advanced plant in the near future.
The result of this study is expected to be useful reference to the industry under study for its process of improvement.
