“YOG(A) OF BHAGAVAD GITA” - “THE TERMINATOR OF ALL MISERIES”

This book is a very lucid English translation of the Bhagavad Gita from a lawyer’s perspective. It is not a simple word for word translation. It contains a meaningful purport of Gita that even a school student would find very interesting and encouraging to read. The writer is aware that there are a number of English translations of the Bhagavad Gita that are already doing the rounds in the national and international markets but this one is different from those. The novelty of this work is evident from the distinguished Yoga Wisdom which explains the changing dimensions of the human mind and intellect in various worldly situations. This book presents the Bhagavad Gita in the form of eighteen kinds of Yoga.

The other dimension why the writer strongly felt the need to translate the Bhagavad Gita into the English language is the suicides that often happen among students during exam time or when the results are announced. This immature, unwise and detrimental attachment needs to be curbed with maturity, wisdom and joyful enlightenment. The writer was also surprised on reading the news about the need to appoint Loneliness Ministers in the United Kingdom from the year 2018 onwards and in Japan from the year 2021 onwards to tackle the increasing number of suicides taking place due to loneliness and over thinking. This shows how detrimental the psychological situations are becoming in today’s world. Such problems can be brought under control by reading such books. This is because the Yoga of Bhagavad Gita destroys loneliness, fear, greed, lust, hatred and also eliminates many other pessimistic and fatalistic propensities.
