From Biggest to Greatest
From Biggest to Greatest is a monograph which tries to present a few key socio-economic, public, and political issues that surround our country through the eyes of a teenager. The author dreams for the greatest democracy in India rather than being content with the largest democracy. The book starts with the simple but not so popular story of Shambuka from the Ramayana which sets the tune of the young author. He dreams for eradication of poverty and questions the very definition of poverty, tries to demystify “the myth of the lazy poor”, introduces the phrase “Mental Bandwidth ”coined by Eldar Shafir and advocates the concept of Universal Basic Income policy with a historical context. The book goes on to investigate other such economic, political, social and even health issues, and in the total 10 chapters of the book, the author presents nine critical essays on some of the key issues faced by our contemporary society. The essays are Intellectually stimulating and shall help in developing critical thinking amongst the younger generation. This book will be a feast for the young readers with good intellectual appetite.
