God According to Thomas Aquinas
The quest for the ultimate truth of God is something fundamental to every human. Philosophers, scientists and religions thinkers have been making numerous attempts to get some understanding of God. God is the central theme of practically all the religions and the purpose of these religions is to provide some idea about God. Many religions have come forward with different views or ideas of God. The many religions of the world, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Confucianism and others are also philosophies and ways of life for their followers. The idea of God varies from religion to religion influenced culture, language, geography and philosophy of life. God has been revealing Himself from the very beginning of human race, and is worshipped by human beings, though invisible some time. The conception of God is very unique in the religion but there is no consensus among the religions regarding Him- regarding number or nature. They have called Him by different names and described Him in a variety of ways. Whatever knowledge we have about God whether it is natural knowledge by reason or supernatural by faith, it is enough to believe that there is something or someone who makes our being possible, who becomes the very foundation of existence in which we have being-Brahman, Yahweh, Allah.
