A fictional story revolving around a Muslim youth, Ossama Barakat, and his journey from the beautiful city of Damascus to London in search of his estranged mother.
It begins with the day of London bombings on the underground trains and the effect on Ossama’s life. The tumultuous events that define the path which he takes and opens an unknown world full of hurt, anguish, and resolve. As his journey unfolds in parts, revealing his innermost secrets, the jigsaw starts to add up.
This bittersweet tale will take the reader on a rollercoaster ride of raw human relationships, introspection of our society in the clutches of traditional confines, and our innate affinity for connection and longing for the truth.
About the Author: After two decades of corporate jobs and an MBA in Marketing from the UK, her true love for creative expression through written works continue to inspire her.
Currently, working in the field of education in India, the author has written articles for internal publications, and was a part of the community’s writers club. An enthusiast of an equitable and inclusive society, the author is an active champion of these initiatives.
