Panchami
Childhood is the best part of one's life and all human beings have common emotions about the good old days of childhood. This book titled Panchami is a collection of short stories about a 10-year-old South Indian village girl named Panchami. The stories are about the little events associated with her life. Her brother Maniyan is also an integral part of all the events in her life. The innocence of childhood and the warm relation with parents and grandparents have been highlighted. Animals and birds are a fancy for children and many events connected to this are also a part of this book. About the Author: The author Dr.O.Sasikumari, a doctor by profession, is now working as Associate Professor in Government Medical college, Kollam in Kerala, India.
She is a native of Kerala. She has won innumerable prizes for short story writing during her school days and college days. She had a regular column in the KGMOA (Kerala government medical officers’ association) journal of Kerala state. Some of her articles have been published in The Hindu and Woman’s era.
