The lives of children and their families have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. AECED as one of the leading associations for ECD in India, initiated a proactive international dialogue by organizing the international conference "REIMAGINING AND RESHAPING EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION IN THE NEW NORMAL" This conference was organised in June 2022 in collaboration with Mobile Creches which is a pioneering organisation working for the rights of marginalized children to early childhood development. The conference had national and international speakers contributing in keynote, plenary sessions, paper presentations and workshops covering research, policy and practice. The conference called for the discussions on innovative solutions for flexible and sustainable childcare and early learning models, capacity building of ECD workforce to cope and respond to the future challenges, and to gain policy commitment for care and education of young children. This book gives a comprehensive coverage of the three-day conference proceedings. The four themes of the conference had guest speakers, plenary speakers, workshops and global voices. It highlights some of the suggestions that emerged to enhance outreach, quality and innovations and practices in the field of early childhood to be able to respond to new challenges.
