We were travelling in Uttarakhand and driving somewhere between Rishikesh and Devprayag towards Dehradun. It started raining like cats and dogs in the dark mountains with heavy thunderstorms. We could see the road only up to the range of our car headlights. Apart from that, everything was looking dark all around.

Suddenly, we saw one lady asking for help on the roadside. We saw her because she became visible by our car headlights; otherwise, she was invisible in that dark night and dark forest. All of us had goosebumps, thinking of what the hell she was doing late at night in that dark forest. One of our friends suggested not to stop the car, as it seemed scary to see her silhouette-like appearance.

When we were very close to her, she pointed her finger towards a deep gorge on the valley side, seemingly to ask us to stop the car and help her in finding her loved one who had met with an accident from that place. We were trying to see her face, but it was invisible. Our car headlights went off, and everything disappeared from view.

All of us fainted except our brother Ajay, who was alert and driving; he did not stop the car, and we crossed the place safely with our car headlights getting on automatically. A few moments later, we heard a horrible shriek from that lady, as if she was not able to stop us and had lost the chance of saving her near and dear ones.

What was happened that night? Who was that lady and why was she pointing her finger toward the deep gorge?
