Compendious Hospital Management
The book has been designed keeping in mind the needs of young professionals studying heath management. The topics underlined in this book are still new topics for students who’ve just finished an undergraduate degree in medical school; therefore, this attempts to shed a comprehensive light on the themes under health management While it gains some importance while one is studying Community and Family Medicine at one’s postgraduate level, there is still a dearth of good books that explain the ideas of health management with conciseness and clarity. This book, in fact, can also be a ready reckoner for senior management professionals in all academic pursuits, and has been penned with the utmost enthusiasm and dynamism by author and mentor Dr Arti Reddy. A pioneer in the field of research, Dr Reddy remains ever ready to help beginners achieve their dreams and that is exactly what she hopes to channel through her work. This book was completed under her mentorship, as well as with the collaboration of a number of esteemed authors who contributed to it proactively, despite the tribulations of dealing with COVID in their hospitals in an individual capacity. It is also a book “for the times”; having been envisioned during the pandemic, a brief on how set ups are made, and how therapies evolve over time have also been incorporated. The authors of this book look forward to readers who don’t merely want to pass exams but understand the nitty-gritty of the subject, as learning health management skills in a post pandemic world has become the need of the hour.
About the Author: Dr Nilanjana Ghosh is a public health specialist holding degrees in Health Management from National Institute of Health and Family Welfare. She believes in teamwork and handholding, especially in a post pandemic world, and has recently worked as Organising Secretary, conducting a multistakeholder programme on women’s empowerment — releasing a booklet for the same. She has authored a few books and is a national editorial board member of a pub med indexed journal. Dr Ghosh currently works as Assistant Professor, Department of Family and Community Medicine, AIIMS Guwahati. She deeply acknowledges the help and support received from Dr V Reddy and Dr Arti Reddy, without whom the book could not have been completed.
