The three children of Indra and Mr. Gulati who were, due to high economic standard, spoiled as youngsters and did not learn the virtue of sympathy or compassion. As adults they had a different and distressing outcome compared with Ram Lal and Puja’s offsprings. Puja and Ram Lal’s children portray a shining and living picture of success and harmony in stark contrast to Indra’s family.

Toward the end, Rana the main character discusses his concepts about aging and whether his life has been meaningful.
