Satya Sankar Ray was born in Calcutta in 1943. He graduated in Engineering from Calcutta University. He has spent a major part of his working life in England. After retirement he divides his time between England and India.

He has authored seven engineering books which were published in England. Recently he has authored two children’s book, one book on religious practices, one book of photography, one cookbook, one English novel, one book on Bengali etymology, one autobiography and this latest book of poetry.
