CRACKDOWN is about a teenage boy, Gulzar who is as normal as other boys in his locality and is keen about his studies and sports. One day he decides to be a part of a procession to register his protest as one of his favourite rebels is killed. He accidentally meets a strange and spiritual old man who guides Gulzar back to his home amid tension and mental torture. Afterwards, a couple of incidents incline his mind to join a rebel group and be an active part of it. Being away from his home brings him back to his home. But, unfortunately, he loses the battle of life forever. His dreams are shattered and his family, especially his Boba is back-broken.

About the Author: My original name is Mohammad Shafi Mir, presently working as an Accountant in the J&K Government. I live and was born in 1987 in rural Kashmir. I have done my Post Graduation in Botany with a Gold Medal from Kashmir University in 2011. This is my first try with fiction, rather book writing. I love drawing and painting in addition to writing. It gives me immense pain to tell that I lost my dearest mother (My own Boba) in September 2019 a few months after I had completed the CRACKDOWN. The current book is especially dedicated to her. May you attain the highest place in Jannah) the Heaven. AAMEEN.
