The moment doctor Sudarshan enters that hilly hamlet, he finds a girl calmly lying on the cot. Her head is tilted to one side. She seems to be unconscious. Her mother, sitting next to her, fails to conceal her sobs and tears. Sudarshan   comes close to the girl and examines her. The right cheek and upper part of the shoulder are badly burnt.  She is probably unconscious due to shock. The compounder at the Primary Health Center has suggested shifting her to a bigger hospital before her blisters swell. Her family is wondering where and how to take her on this dim moonlit night. There's no big hospital nearby and transport is another issue. Sudarshan tells them not to worry.  His words bring a ray of hope on her mother's face.  She feels as if God has sent an angel for the rescue.
