Growing up between London and Mumbai, I often found myself caught between definitions. In India, I am too British to be fully Indian; in London, I am too Indian to be fully British. So then, where am I truly from? Perhaps belonging is not something found in one place alone.
Of Many Grounds is a collection of personal essays and short stories that explores what it means to exist in the liminal space between any two worlds. Blending personal reflection, fiction, and observations from everyday life, the collection explores themes of identity, growth, and transition. From historical migrations across countries to navigating the uncertainties of adolescence, each piece, in some way, examines what it means to form an identity moulded by constant change and how the challenge of transition reshapes the way we understand ourselves.
