About the Book: ANSARI GURU’ is a fictional document, written on the backdrop of Banaras which is one of the oldest living city of the world. Banaras has been affected by the cross-border politics, invasions, attacks and terrorism. The novel is an attempt to investigate the flavor of Banaras, with which it has not only resisted and defeated these political, social and -economic attacks, but also retained its originality since thousands of years.

The neighboring country Pakistan uses the name of Kashmir as an opium to its countrymen to divert their attention from their real problems and hardships. Pakistan generally targets India’s economic and cultural capitals Mumbai and Banaras respectfully. ‘Ansari Guru’ is not only an astonishing high octane story telling fiction, but it is a journey of a notorious military agent of Pakistan who was forced to settle in Banaras as a sleeper cell.

The novel is a piece of well woven ‘Jheenee jheenee Chadariya’ of famous saint and poet ‘Kabir Das’ who lived in Kashi or Varanasi or Banaras. It gradually reveals different layers of some complex personalities and reaches to the climax during completion of its journey at the famous Mahashmashan (the burning ghat} ‘Manikarnika’ at the bank of river Ganga in Banaras.

‘ANSARI GURU’ is an attempt to look inside the smoke coming out from the pyre and tries to search reality of life inside ashes of burnt pyre in the holy city of Adi Dev (Eternal God) SHIVA who has consumed poison to save the whole world.

About the Author: Gaurav (Gaurav Mishra) was born in a highly educated middle class family. On realizing his passion for reading English and Hindi fictions, his father (Professor and Writer) and mother (Painter and Entrepreneur) established a small library in the house. Fascinated by the writings of Agatha Christie and Prem Chand, Gaurav developed his hobby of writing in school and college magazines. After obtaining B.Tech. and MBA degrees, he joined a Multinational Company in Mumbai. In spite of hectic schedule, he has been actively participating in Literary Functions with the pen name of ‘Corporate AZAD’. As a member of ‘Screen Writers Association’ (SWA), he, with his father, are engaged in writing screen plays and dialogues for films and web-series for OTT platform as ‘Gaurav-Girish’, a rare pair of son and father, as writer duo. They feel pleasure in presenting ‘ANSARI GURU’ and eagerly waiting for readers’ response.

Girish (Dr. Girish Chandra Mishra) was born in Banaras and completed from Primary to higher education in the cultural capital of India. He was awarded Ph.D. degree by the globally recognized Central University, the Banaras Hindu University. Right from his childhood, his active participation in theatre and literary activities drew attention of many national and international personalities who encouraged him for writing plays for theaters, dramatic adaptation of famous stories for All India Radio and documentaries on TV. Having worked in a private company for a short period, to quench the thirst of exploring new methods of data management in the academic pursuit, Dr Girish joined and served his alma mater as Professor, Head of the Department and many other important positions. During guidance of research scholars in the field of ‘Artificial Neural Networking’ (ANN), he got an opportunity to know the mechanism of flow of information and developing analytical and decision abilities in human brain. This helped him to travel inside complex brains of human beings to feel their emotions. As members of ‘Screen Writers Association’ (SWA), author duo ‘Gaurav-Girish’ have been trying to meet producers and directors of famous Production Houses to show their screen plays and dialogues for film and OTT platform. During this period, ‘Gaurav-Girish’, a rare author duo of son-father, continuously worked on their novel ‘ANSARI GURU’, written on the backdrop of Banaras.
