The book is about a young girl, Meena. She dreams of learning puppetry her family’s traditional craft. She is denied the joy of being a puppeteer like Murali, her sibling. Only Makhi, her pet monkey knows her grief. Meena longs to see and explore Rajasthan and discover her roots. On a fine day, she meets a companion a magical being. She is someone she can talk to and share her dreams with. This being from a stranger becomes family and finally takes her to the land of her dreams.

About the Author: Neelima Luthra teaches Literature in the University of Delhi. She writes books for children in the genres of fantasy and fairy tale. She brought out a monthly children’s magazine.
