Most of the Students of mathematics find difficult to learn the essence of real analysis. This book is designed for under- graduate and post-graduate students of mathematics to understand the underlying principles and essence of real analysis. To achieve them solutions of a large number of examples are given on each topic. For example to understand the definition of limit of a sequence, solutions of various problems on limit of sequence are given in terms of ε and δ. Further they are verified with given value of ε. This helps to understand the concept of the limit of the sequence. This book consisting of five chapters. In the first chapter we discussed the real numbers, Dedekind-cut and mathematical induction. In the second chapter we discussed the interior point, limit point, open and closed sets. In the remaining chapters we discussed thoroughly on sequences, positive term series, alternating series and series of arbitrary terms.

About the Author: Dr. K. Sambaiah is obtained M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from Kakatiya University, Warangal, Telangana State, India. He worked in this University from 1978-2013 at different levels such as Asst.Professor, Associate Professor and Professor of Mathematics. He obtained Gold Medal for getting highest marks in M.Sc. (Mathematics) and also obtained best teacher award in 2012 from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He is co-authored more than 12 mathematics books (Intermediate and B.Sc.) which were published by Telugu Academy, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Further 45 research papers of his have been published in many national and international journals. His recent publications of books are “Numerical Methods”, “Applications of derivatives” and “A detailed study on limits and continuity”.

Dr. E. Rama is working as Associate Professor in the department of Mathematics, Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Kakatiya University, Warangal, Telangana, India. She is a gold medalist in both UG and PG. She has 20 years of teaching experience in private and government institutions. She published more than 20 publications in national and international journals.
