They say humans have evolved a lot since the birth of mankind. Today what we see around us as a modern-day human thus, must have gone through a lot to become all that it is today. Remarkably, it is not all gold and there is a dark and murky side which in many ways resonates with all of us. "The Mulberry Eater" is a poetry anthology consisting of 25 poems based on themes comprising of sum and substance of human nature, behaviour, thoughts, feelings and emotions. Through these poems the mulberry eater, who is an epitome of a modern world human tries to contemplate the many layers of his existence.

There are times when he lives the little moments of joy and tries to place his faith in hopes of morality where a sense of belongingness is felt and paradoxically there also is a sense of isolation heightened by the pangs of anxiety, nostalgia, rue, growing old and the inability to make choices. The poems of the anthology thus deal with such themes and are aimed to leave the readers thinking not about the life led by the Mulberry Eater but seeing their own selves in his guise.
