The book is about the author's days as a Doctor in the Indian Air Force. These are true stories spanning almost 38 years of Service Life from being a young intern, a Flying Officer, in Military Hospital Dehradun, to finally hanging his uniform as an Air Vice Marshal at Bangalore.  These are tales of inspirational leaders who helped shape his way of thinking; stories of humour in uniform, of adventure and laughter, but also of courage and valour as also of sadness and tragedy.  Gaur has tried to remember and cross-checked on facts, but it is possible that his memory may not have remained sharp and some events therefore, not accurately represented.  If at all there are stories that appear incredible, he assures the reader that none are figments of imagination.

He hopes the book makes for interesting light reading and prays that some young people get inspired to consider serving the nation in uniform.
