Indian coastal and marine environments are bestowed with various splendid ecosystems like coral reefs, seagrasses, mangroves, wetlands etc. However, the knowledge about these ecosystems amongst the school children and graduates are limited. This book on Coastal Ecosystems of India would be a learning experience for the youngsters who are fascinated to understand these ecosystems. No doubt there are many very useful foreign text books available on the subject, it is felt that they are not only costly but also too voluminous and beyond the scope and comprehension of new readers.
