This is the story of Prafulla, Anand and Priyabrat - three lives - spreading over three centuries. Their lives were connected, even overlapping at times, their experiences diverse. The story begins in 1897, when Prafulla is born, and weaves its way through the troubled times, before partition of the country, in Bengal, shifts to a beautiful life in the hills of north India. Anand is a doctor. He is a good man but due to one indiscretion is sucked  into a dangerous situation which leads to complications in the lives of many around him. He has one peculiar attribute, namely he is a jatiswar i.e someone who can recall his past life. Priyabrat is from a poor family and has struggled in life because of extreme adverse circumstances but one day his life miraculously changes for the better. In this story, some eminent personalities appear, like Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Jagdish Bose and  some others.
