This book is a fictional tale for children. Raghav and Aditi go to their Ancestral village of Maharajapuram for their summer holidays. They develop good friendship with Gopi and other children in the village and jointly start exploring the wonderful village of Maharajapuram.

This book dwells with the mystic experiences of these children. They attend the village fair to understand how life goes on in a village. They explore the old palace and museum and get attracted to the history of the previous kings and kingdom of Maharajapuram.

Due to their inquisitive nature, they solve mysteries in the village by catching thieves who were troubling the inmates of the village. They also resolve the mysteries of the killer tree and the mysterious lamp. In the end they find the hidden treasure of the kingdom which is used for the growth and development of the village.
