About the Author: Claude Franklin is a children’s author and joke writer from Melbourne, Australia, where he resides with his wife, his three children and his grandfather.
He grew up in Kolkata, India, and even as a child, Claude loved making others laugh. He quickly discovered that everyone’s sense of humour differed, which led to an appreciation of the nuances of making others laugh.
Claude stuttered as a child and experienced the challenges often faced by people who stutter. He feels he might have developed his comedy as a coping mechanism and has long held that this was a skill worth developing.
Claude decided he wanted to actively encourage children to experience humour in its different forms and help them work on their own comic genius through exposure, intrigue, realisation and practice. This led to the writing of 'Become Humour Active'. Far from recycling old jokes, Claude’s passion for developing jokes focuses on teasing out hilarity from the daily humdrum that goes unnoticed by most.
