Economic Globalisation, Governance and State Sovereignty
This book argues that intensification of trans-border relations has catapulted international relations to a post-national arena by redefining the relationship between state and its economy. The process of globalisation has clearly diminished the role of State. It is also true that current globalisation also projects a set of global institutions which are playing crucial role in governance framing rules for national and international governance. In this context, this book examines how globalisation has altered the traditional understanding of state sovereignty on the one hand and States response to new realities created by globalisation on the other. Indian states interface with globalisation is specifically examined in the last chapter of this book as a case.
