Derek Trueman is a retired lecturer, examiner and teacher who has worked and travelled around the world. He spent many holidays in Oria, Puglia at his second home and he fell in love with the Italian way of life, the people and the landscape. These inspired him to portray both the richness and the passion in both Brindisia and his first novel, Terra Rossa [available on Amazon]. He has also just published a collection of his poetry written over 40 years in Rhymescape, and he presently resides in Sussex, England working on his next novel.
